DARK BASIC PRO FORUN SOFTWARE

Sorry DBPro, and TGC I gave the software 2 weeks, and have had nothing but problems. One very unsatisfied customer, sure am glad I didnt spend the money, feel sorry for the person who did, they used it for about the same amount of time I have, and gave up as I am about too.

I tend to agreee OneMoreToGo in that from my intial view of DBPro sucks, plus the site, the so called support sucks even worse, its so out of date, every single link practially is no longer, they have tutorials that are 3-6 yrs old, that do not work anymore, but yet they still advertise them as being helpful, helps you to see how bad it sucks I guess. So today I have been sitting here wondering if I should just say screw Dark Basic and move on to language that I can actually, of course eventually, create a game with ? Its been nothing but frustration for 2 weeks, occasionally a glimpse of light, then it starts acting buggy, a command syntax that worked ten minutes ago stops, causing you to second guess everything youve done, then it dissaapears and works again, its crazy?Ī programming language that is even a little bit unstable is a bit of a joke dont you think ? Syntax for commands seem to change from program to program, it is massivley frustrating.

Then there are the bugs, one day a program works, the next day it doesnt, seem to depend on which way the wind is blowing, so know I spend my time, searching fruitlessly on the net for tutorials that actually work, cause the ones on the TGC site, the people who wrote the software cant even get them to work. The documentation is the worst I have seen for any language, there is no printed manual, nothing, there is a sad excuse for an online help file, that is all you are given and for someone just starting out, it just plain sucks. I also have VB6 and I know a bit of it, I also picked up a C++ compiler and learned a bit of it as well, then I got DBPro, and my learning quickly came to a grinding halt. Now up to that point I had been investigating game creation, I tried GameMaker, etc, etc. Well I just started using DarkBasic, I started to teach myself programming, I have an old background in MS-Basic from way back, anyways, I was offered a copy of DarkBasic Proffesional, and I installed.
